The South Coast Model Centre Model Railways - Our primary speciality is 00 scale model railways and we stock a wide range of products such as Bachmann, Beli Lights, Classix, Dapol, Detail Matters, Eckon/Berko, Gaugemaster, Heki grass mats, Harburn Hamlet, Hornby, Knightwing, K&M trees, Metcalfe, Modelscene, Modroc, Parkside Dundas, Peco, Ratio, Romford, Roxey Mouldings, scatter materials, Scaledale, Scenix, Solid Water, Superquick, Tower Trams, Tracksetter, Wills, Woodland Scenics, Yat Ming etc.  Model Railway Kits - We are stocking more and more kits in plastic, whitemetal and brass. Other Gauges - We are rapidly building up stocks of equipment in other gauges including: 0 gauge - We stock Bachmann brass rolling stock, Falcon Figures, Metcalfe, Model Power, Peco track, accessories and kits and Skytrex. O-16.5 and On3 - We cater for these increasingly popular scales with Peco and Bachmann products and the O scale accessories above. N gauge - We are also in the process of expanding our 'N' guage model railway range and we stock Dapol, Graham Farish, Peco, Knightwing, Metcalfe, Lyddle End etc. Garden Railways - Our most spectacular range is the 'G' scale garden model railway equipment based on American narrow gauge practice by Accucraft, Aristocraft, Bachmann Big Hauler, LGB and Spectrum. In spite of their size these models are less expensive than might be expected, especially the LGB compatible track. We also stock accessories by Piko, Pola, Modelpower, Preiser etc.. Digital and DCC - we can supply and fit DCC chips to customers locomotives or to new locomotives supplied by us. We charge as follows: Basic Fitting Charge £5.00 Single function Chip £11.99 If soldering is required add £5.00 If the chassis has to be machined add £10.00 We may also need to service and/or remagnetise the loco for which there will be an extra charge. For X04 and Hornby Dublo/Wrenn 1/2" motors we can supply a new magnet for £3. For example, an elderly Tri-ang Britannia from the 1960's with a weak magnet would require a service, a magnet, a chip and soldering and we would charge £29.99. A Bachmann Spilt chassis loco such as the Lord Nelson would require  a chip, chassis machining  and soldering and we would charge £31.99. However a modern DCC ready locomotive would only cost £16.99. Live Steam - We stock a large range of Live Steam models and trains by Mamod, MSS, Hornby, Wilesco etc. We can also repair these models.
